Xcellerex, a provider of manufacturing technologies, has launched new XDR-10 single-use bioreactor.

The new system, which is available in single-, twin-, triplet-, and quad-vessel configurations, is flexible to handle volumes from 4l to 10l.

The XDR-10 is an integral component of the Xcellerex FlexFactory modular biomanufacturing platform that leverages single-use technology and advanced process automation.

The new system features a low shear, high input-power impeller with optimized position which maximizes volume range and turndown ratio.

The XDR-10 can function as a production vessel in its own right, or become a scale-down tool or satellite platform for larger projects to be continued in larger bioreactors, according to the company.

The flexible platform enables biomanufacturers to speed up deployment of new manufacturing capacity with reduced capital costs and lowered risk.
