SEA Vision, one of the world’s leading innovation-based vision system companies, has launched the Smart PCA40, a compact all-in-one serialization and aggregation-ready manual workstation.
The Smart PCA40 is SEA Vision’s latest addition to its range of workstations. The ergonomically designed manual packing station provides a cost-effective and space-saving solution for serializing cartons and performing multi-level aggregation on cases and pallets.
The machine is controlled by a single piece of SEA Vision software which manages the machine working cycle for serialized cartons checks and multilevel aggregation. The all-in-one workstation can be easily integrated with current systems and connect to enterprise software, while minimizing the impact on validation and service requirements as maintenance can be carried out by one engineer.
Paolo Landriani, Business Development Manager at SEA Vision, said: “We developed the Smart PCA40 to add a complete workstation to our portfolio and meet growing demand for smaller equipment in manufacturing and packing environments where space and format flexibility are at a premium.
“The global regulatory framework and push towards traceability is making machines such as the Smart PCA40 an essential purchase for businesses throughout the pharma supply chain where lower volume batches are involved.”
Designed to handle smaller batches, from single cartons to carton rows, the workstation features a conveyor belt with high-res inspection camera; in-line printer for serialized codes and variable data printing; an integrated HMI touch-screen display with light indicators and a shipper station with sensors for case label checking.
The Smart PCA40 can be delivered, deployed and validated in a very short timeframe making it an optimal solution for markets where there are short regulatory deadlines such as the EU, USA and Russia.
The launch of the new machine comes as SEA Vision begins to expand its global presence with strategic office openings targeting these markets.
