Amcor, Rychiger launch new packaging design for healthcare products

Amcor Flexibles, a provider of packaging solutions for the healthcare industry, and Rychiger are introducing Amcor MediCan for healthcare products.

Amcor MediCan with aluminum container technology provides a high degree of protection to healthcare products and extends their shelf life.

The packaging solution is suitable for inhalers and diagnostic devices which usually require a total protection from moisture.

Amcor Flexibles Europe & Americas marketing and business development manager Bertrand Jannon was quoted by packagingeurope as saying that together with leading pharmaceutical companies, the company has further developed its aluminum container technology to make it fit for the high requirements of the industry.

“Our innovative partnership with Rychiger enables us to offer a complete solution and the support of two leading companies on the pharmaceutical market,” Jannon added. According to Amcor, the product can be produced in a range of shapes and designs.

Amcor MediCan is produced under GMP conditions and can incorporate N’CRYPT, Amcor’s proprietary portfolio of anti-counterfeit features, as well as include integrated desiccant in its lid.
