CeMAT, Industrial Automation and Motion Drive & Automation to redefine manufacturing technology in India

WIN INDIA 2016, India’s leading industrial and engineering trade fair will bring together 3 key industrial trade fairs – CeMAT INDIA, Industrial Automation INDIA (IA India) and Motion Drive & Automation INDIA (MDA India).

The events arefocused on material handling, warehousing, intra-logistics, factory & process automation, hydraulics & pneumatics and electro – mechanical transmission.  The 3 day trade fairs are organised under the umbrella brand of WIN INDIA, a sister event for Deutsche Messe’s largest global industrial engineering trade fair HANNOVER MESSE.  WIN INDIA 2016 will be held from  1-3 December 2016 at Bandra Kurla Complex and is organised by Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt. Ltd., in partnership with Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Government of India along with FICCI.

With the manufacturing industry emerging as one of the fastest growing sectors in India and accounting for 16% of the country’s GDP, the Government in its New Manufacturing Policy (NMP) aims to increase this share to 25% by 2022. India’s ranking among the world’s top 10 largest manufacturing countries has already improved by three places to sixth position in 2015. The country’s manufacturing sector has the potential to touch US $1 trillion by 2025 and create up to 90 million domestic jobs by 2025.

Within the manufacturing industry, the industrial and warehousing spaces are rapidly expanding and are expected to touch about 125 million sq. ft. in the next five years. CeMAT INDIA 2016, the trade fair for material handling, storage systems, intra-logistics, warehousing and logistic services will also present event features such asIntralogistics Conference and a MasterClass Seminar.IntralogisticsConference would address the warehousing, material handling and the intra-logistics sector, covering topics like Smart impact of Intralogistics 4.0, Supply Chain in a digital world, How ASAEN and China will shape the supply chain industry, Role of technology in reshaping the future of supply chain visibility etc.

The conference would be held on Day 1 and Day 2 of the trade fair. MasterClass Seminar will be held on the Day 3 by Arif Siddique,Founder and CEO of Coign Consulting on ‘Harmonizing warehouse ecosystem for maximizing efficiency’. The seminar will help the audience to develop an understanding about the warehousing sector and will provide insights into leveraging the existing technologies to improve efficiency.

Apart from this, top exhibitors like GreyOrange, Mahindra Logistics, Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., Jungheinrich Lift Truck India Pvt. Ltd, Curtis Instruments India Pvt Ltd, Exide Industries Ltd, NASH Robotics & Automation Pvt Ltd, Speed-O-Controls Pvt Ltd etc. will be exhibiting their latest products & innovation at CeMAT India.

Yaduvendra Singh, Global Head – Sales, Marketing and Solutions Group, GreyOrange, one of the key exhibitors at CeMAT INDIA said, “Warehousing can contribute to almost 25% of the overall logistics cost for a company, which makes it imperative to look into operational inefficiencies in this space. With the growing customer demands and changing industry dynamics, the overall time and cost involved in logistics is becoming more and more critical. While there is minimal scope of improvement in transportation as of now in India, warehousing is an area which most companies are now looking at optimizing. Hence, adoption of technology in warehouses, distribution and fulfilment centres is the next big thing, not just in India but around the world. Trade fairs like WIN INDIA provides a great opportunity for solutions providers like GreyOrange by bringing the industry together.”

While the warehousing and logistics sector in the manufacturing industry is growing at a fast pace, the Indian industrial automation sector is also booming towards growth. The Industrial Automation sector in India is expected to reach INR 197 billion by 2020 and is likely to increase in future due to the ‘Make In India’ initiative and relaxation of FDI policies in the manufacturing industry.

IA INDIA (Industrial Automation India) 2016will focus on various aspects on factory and process automation. The highlights at IA INDIA will include an Automation Training Zone. The Automation Training Zone will educate the manufacturers and the end users about the latest technologies and new trends in the automation sector and will be held on all three days of the trade fair. Visitors for the first timewill get an opportunity to see this interactive installation this year at IA INDIA.

MDA INDIA (Motion Drive & Automation INDIA) 2016 on the other hand focuses on hydraulics &pneumatics and electro-mechanical transmission and will address sectors such as electrical and power industry, mining and steel, solar and wind power industry etc. The key highlight at the trade fair will include MDA Forum organised by VDMA (German Engineering Federation), which will address the topic of ‘Industry 4.0 in manufacturing and skilling in the engineering Industry’.
