ePharmaSolutions has launched PatientLive, a new patient recruitment application for the new Windows 8 platform.

The new solution has a consumer and sponsor component, which will offer pharmaceutical companies and CROs a better return on recruitment investment.

PatientLive also provides patients with more information about clinical trials and their enrollment chances into studies for which they are eligible.

EpharmaSolutions founder and CEO Lance Converse said the application helps the pharmaceutical companies and the patients who are interested in participating in research studies.

“We are providing sponsors with ways to optimize their recruitment spend while offering patients personalized, geo-targeted information about new medical therapies and clinical trial opportunities using unique matching algorithms,” Converse added.

Microsoft Windows 8 healthcare partner architect evangelist Chad Brooks said, “ePharmaSolutions has been working closely with Microsoft on the development of several clinical trial applications using SharePoint 2010, Azure and Windows 8.”

ePharmaSolutions will use the solution to disseminate the information gathered from nearly more than a dozen pharmaceutical companies and CROs regarding the patient disqualification for clinical studies.
