Accenture has received a contract from the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) to develop, build and maintain an integrated Medicine Evaluation System.
The company will provide the national authority that approves new medicines with management consulting and IT services to assist processes for administration and medical technology for the following three years.
The contract is expected to bring good stakeholder relations and build the Agency at the forefront of European medicine agencies, claims the company.Accenture Italy health and public service business lead Gianmario Pisanu said Accenture will use broad industry skills and insights from its global network to support AIFA’s mission to protect public health, provide greater access to treatment and promote research and innovation.
”We will help our client build an integrated system that reflects the needs of an organization as complex as AIFA,” Pisanu added.
Accenture provides decision support and analytic solutions for clinical care, health administration, finance and patient operations for both public and private health institutions across the globe.
