Progressive Care Inc , a personalized healthcare services and technology company, announced that the company has completed the installation of a TCGRx Automated Pouch Packaging System at its Miami-Dade County PharmCo location.
Customarily used in hospital and facility settings, the new TCGRx system makes Progressive Care one of only a few pharmacies in South Florida to offer this kind of packaging to traditional patients. This innovative packaging system also allows the company to offer tailored medication administration solutions to long-term care facilities that often have limited options.
The new machine will allow Progressive Care to process patient medications in a variety of package options, increase operational capacity, and enhance service opportunities to long-term care facilities and primary care practices. Additionally, it enables physicians with patients who are struggling with maintenance drug regimens to recommend a pharmacy that offers solutions for increased adherence and ease of use.
“We are committed to making medication management as easy as possible for both providers and patients,” said S. Parikh Mars, CEO of Progressive Care Inc. “This expanded pouch packaging offering not only increases the adherence management and performance capabilities of Progressive Care but also allows the company to aid in improving health outcomes across South Florida.”
The addition of the new TCGRx system brings Progressive Care’s operation fleet of pharma-robotic equipment to a total of three machines, including the ScriptPro CRS 225 and Parata PASS 208. The completed machine installation comes on the heels of Progressive Care’s most recent announcement to develop proprietary tele-pharmacy software for the expansion of its current kiosk program throughout the state of Florida.
