Multi Packaging Solutions a global leader in value-added print and packaging solutions for the healthcare, branded consumer, and multi-media markets, has completed two strategic acquisitions that complement other operations within MPS and further extend the range of products the group offers its customers.
In Europe, MPS has acquired AJS Labels based in Littlehampton and Featherstone UK. AJS specializes in the manufacture of self-adhesive labels for a variety of markets including confectionary, health and beauty and personal care products. Employing around 80 people, AJS are an award-winning manufacturer supplying a wide range of blue chip multinational and UK customers.
In the US, MPS has acquired i3 Plastic Cards, based in Dallas, Texas. i3offers a fully-integrated solution for creating and personalizing plastic transaction cardsincluding pre-paid gift and loyalty cards. i3 Plastic Cards has the ability to personalize all plastic cards, apply multiple print and finishing effects.
Collectively the businesses recorded net sales of approximately $25 million in the most recent twelve months. Marc Shore – Chief Executive Officer of MPS, said:
